Northwestern Media is expanding
Northwestern Media has become the industry gold standard through its “live and local” operational model. Across its multiple platforms, Northwestern Media is consistently recognized as the most-listened-to station in the Twin Cities that continues to nurture listeners in their spiritual growth and inject a spirit of hope in their lives.
Beyond a data-driven, research-based approach to music selection that curates content that matches listeners’ desires, Northwestern Media develops on-air talent that connects with and ministers to listeners in deep, personal, and transformational ways. They continue to create a relationship of long-term loyalty and sustainability.
Northwestern Media is in expansion mode. Christian radio maintains a strong listener base, supported by a growing donor base. According to Nielsen Audio, 35.5 million people tune into Christian radio each week.
A voice that shapes culture
While Northwestern Media currently commands a strong Midwest dominance in Christian radio, we envision expansion at the national level. By 2026, we plan to acquire at least one new media outlet in four unreached regions and will identify key markets that align with our brand. By the same year, we will achieve marketplace relevance in 75% of Northwestern Media’s music stations.
Northwestern Media will collaborate with University of Northwestern to develop content, expertise, and industry talent to expand to new media channels including, broadcast media, social media, filmmaking, and storytelling.
By 2030, Northwestern Media will develop the capacity to become an influential voice that shapes culture and society through every medium and media channel.
