Biomedical Technology

Northwestern is preparing God-honoring leaders to meet the needs of the rapidly expanding biomedical field.

Meeting the growing demand

Northwestern will expand its engineering, science, and technology programs to meet the growing demand for graduates pursuing careers in the biomedical technology professions.

With Northwestern being in the Twin Cities’ biotech hub, we are positioned to equip future virtuous leaders looking to create healthcare solutions in the world.

Entrepreneurial and Small Business Emphasis

Northwestern’s biomedical technology program will differentiate itself by focusing on the entrepreneurship, innovation, and out-of-the-box thinking in combination with the Christian liberal arts essentials of problem solving, critical thinking, spiritual formation, and moral leadership. Increasing the number of corporate partnerships and research opportunities in the industry will play a key role in this initiative.

Additionally, we will expand our curriculum to include reality software development. We will add faculty, develop integrated biomedical technology labs, and provide innovative design spaces to enhance learning, further equipping our students to be the salt and light as they improve the health and wholeness of our world.

By 2030, Northwestern will be known as a top-tier science, technology, and engineering institution of higher education in Minnesota.
